On Monday, high school students will be participating in their annual air band competitions. New this year, parents are invited to attend. The fee to attend is $1 (proceeds High School Beta who sponsors Air Bands). Doors will open at 1:15 p.m. Please use the gym lobby doors. Parents will be asked to leave immediately following the competition. Thank you for joining us! This is one of the students favorite events we do each year.

When you go to enjoy the senior breakfast, don't forget to bid on this awesome flag made from shell casings to benefit the Reid family. You may also message Mrs. Carter to place a bid. The bid is currently at $130.
Here's a sneak peek at the next issue of the Screaming Eagle newspaper! Everyone who has paid for a school newspaper subscription will receive a copy next week. Subscriptions are only $5 and, in return, you receive a copy of every newspaper for the entire school year.
Representative Friess spent the day talking with our students. He started with having a discussion with the seniors about his career. This was followed by a lunch with the student advisory team. They shared what they are and things they have helped incorporate so far in our school. Rep. Friess ended the day talking with our 8th students and Mrs. Dyson's Civics class. He discussed politics, why he went into them, and how students can be involved now. Thank you Representative Friess for taking the time to spend with our students.

Justin Maynard donated a flag for the proceeds to go to the Reid family. This flag will be displayed at our game tonight and at the Senior Pancake breakfast on Saturday. Congratulations to Tammy Zimmerman! Tammy was awarded a $1,000 grant from Prairie State Generating Company. This grant will be used to help support her STEM class by purchasing additional materials.
