Principal's Message
Parents and Students-
As the new school year begins, our students will embark on a journey of learning and growth. This time of year, is filled with anticipation, new opportunities, and the chance to build lasting friendships. Whether your child is entering school for the first time or returning for their last year, there are many ways to make the most of your student’s school experience.
Over the past several years, we have implemented many changes to our school in order to help your student succeed. In addition to our Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS), we also have a student success room where students can get extra help on assignments or just take a few moments to settle thoughts. It is our goal at Coulterville Unit School District 1 to help your child learn and grow to their fullest potential.
Our staff and teachers do their best to provide the students with the necessary tools to succeed not only at school but after high school as well. It is up to the student to use these tools to become the version of themselves and to become a lifelong learner.
Finally, maintaining a positive attitude is essential for a successful school year. There will be challenges along the way, but how a student responds to these challenges can make all the difference. Celebrate successes, learn from mistakes or setbacks, and remember that perseverance is key. Surrounding your student with positive influences and practicing self-care can help your student stay motivated and engaged.
As we step into this school year, remember that students have the power to shape their experience. By setting goals, staying organized, building relationships, embracing change, and maintaining a positive attitude, students can make their year the best one yet. Welcome back to school and be prepared to make the most of the opportunities that lie ahead.
Please contact the school with any questions or concerns you have throughout the school year. Communication is essential to your student’s success.
“We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious….and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
