Students:
We are looking for volunteers this summer to help us prepare for the new school year. Some items we are looking for help for include: cleaning the lockers, moving desks out of the classroom so the floors can be cleaned, cleaning the desks, recycling, cleaning the buses, help clean storage rooms, and load electronic recycling. There may be other things throughout the summer as well.
As a reminder: Students in grades 8-12 must earn 5 service hours per year as a graduation requirement. This is a great way to get them completed before the school year begins.

We are taking applications for part-time bus drivers! Contact the school to apply.

Volleyball open gym schedule for next week

Mr. Weber moved to the kindergarten classroom this year. While he was unsure at the beginning, he hit it out of the park and did amazing with our littles. He held a program for his students to share what they learned this year. Way to go Mr. Weber and our littles!

Congratulations Analiese, Kennedy, and Paityn for making the all-tournament team!

FFA recently sponsored a drive anything but a car to school.

Today, Representative Davis Friess hosted Caleb as a page. Representative Friess recognized Caleb for his accomplishment of winning state in shot put. We were able to watch a press conference, meet other Representatives, and Caleb was able to sit on the floor. Thank you Representative Friess.

We have an agreement with Marissa that allows our students to participate in band with them. We have several students who are taking advantage of this opportunity. They recently came to our school to play a concert for our students.

Attention High School volleyball players, including incoming Freshmen: Open gyms will begin on May 29,

Additional pictures from our junior high and high school academic awards

We recently held academic awards for our junior high and high school students. This year, teachers changed the program and made it invite only for those receiving awards.

Do you play sports during the school year? Sparta Hospital is offering sports physicals to our athletes on Wednesday, June 4 at Marissa Jr./Sr. High School from 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. There is a $10 donation fee that will go to the athelete's school. This is a great opportunity to get it out of the way. We recommend, no matter which sporting season, to go ahead and get this physical completed, so you don't have to take care of it later.
