On Monday, fourth grade read about astronauts and how they prepare for their trip. It's important for astronauts to take foods that are less crumbly in zero gravity. The crumbs can get into electrical outlets and cause a fire or get into their ventilation and clog it. Therefore, they completed a cookies 🍪 In Space lab to see what the worst and best cookie would be to take. Of course the students enjoyed a cookie snack after the experiment! #learningisfun

Just a reminder that tomorrow is an early out for our students with an 11:10am dismissal and a 3 day weekend with no school on Monday! There will be no lunch served tomorrow.

Our food pantry is open every Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. If you are unable to come during this time, feel free to email foodpantry@cvillecusd1.org and arrange an alternative time. This is a free service for anyone in our community.

Coulterville families, we wanted to share a quick reminder about our morning drop-off procedures.

For the safety and security of all of our students, we ask that parents/guardians please do not walk through the playground or enter the school building to accompany students to their classrooms during morning drop-off. Students should be dropped off at the designated entrance/drop-off area and enter independently.
We know, especially with our littlest students, that it can be tempting to walk them all the way in. ❤️ However, limiting access to the playground and building during arrival helps us maintain a safe and secure environment and allows our staff to know who is in the building at all times.

If you need to enter the school for any reason, please check in through the main office first rather than entering with students or staff as they come into the building. We have staff available that can make sure students get where they need to go in the morning.

The Coulterville Carnival is back thanks to the Rust Family, Fullerton Farms, VFW Post 6865, Village of Coulterville and Little Egypt Shows. Schedule of Events: Sparta / Coulterville Hope Lodge will be serving fish and burgers out of the concession building from 4 to 8 each evening JA Entertainment DJ from 7-10 on Friday and Aged & Amplified playing Saturday from 7-10. Rides Friday 6-10 Saturday 5-10

Today is game day for our junior high softball and baseball! Boys play away at Damiansville at 4:15. Girls play home game at 4:30! It's supposed to be a beautiful evening, so let's head out and support our Eagles!
