Fourth grade has been learning about agriculture and using some hands on learning activities to support their lessons. First, they created corn bracelets using different color beads for different types of corn. Last, the listened to a story about Henry Ford and created plastic in molds that represented his plastic made cars made from soil beans. #learningisfun

Fourth grade "Rocked" out today!!! They learned about the third type of rocks, metamorphic 🪨. They learned that it is formed by heat and pressure. Therefore, they created a heated rock using graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. Then they added gummies as the different minerals. It was placed in the microwave to melt and then they applied pressure to form the rock. It sure was sticky but a sweet treat to eat! #learningisfun

Today was Earth Day and I had to be out of my classroom at a track meet. Therefore, I had a sub for the day. Now let me tell you, I am all about hands on learning and I left a science lesson on pollution for my sub to complete with my students. This young lady knocked it out AND walked my students around picking up trash in our community. I received these photos from her and couldn’t have been more proud! I am so excited that we have you Lexy Jebron, you are awesome and the students love you! Thank you for being an amazing sub! 🤗
