Each year, Senator Bryant hosts a Valentines for Seniors drive. We participate in this each year because we know how much they mean to the recipients. We would like to thank Senator Bryant for taking time out of her busy schedule to visit our school.

Do you have artificial flowers you aren't sure what to do with? Mrs. Sabo's Floral Design class is going to be learning about sympathy floral arrangements in a few weeks and will need some to use for a project. Please email Mrs. Sabo at sabo@cvillecusd1.org if you have any artificial flowers to donate!

Beta will have a Dairy Queen fundraising day on Wednesday. Please let the Dairy Queen cook for you while supporting our Beta students. Thank you!

National FFA Week is a time for FFA members to celebrate the organization and promote the agriculture industry! This year, National FFA Week is February 21st-28th. Take a look at Coulterville FFA's plans! (All high school students are welcome to join in on the dress-up days.)

The Mt. Vernon Outland Airport is actively encouraging young people to consider flight training through the Outland Flight Instruction Flight Training Program, which is based at the airport.

Chris Collins is the Director of Mt. Vernon Outland Airport. He is a commercial pilot and a longtime aviation enthusiast with extensive experience in the aviation field. His background and leadership at the airport provide a strong foundation for the flight training opportunities being offered.

Some highlights of the program include:

Three young, highly knowledgeable instructors who are very popular with students and excited about teaching

Six aircraft available for flight instruction

Training based on the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) curriculum, a nationally recognized aviation education program

A welcoming and supportive environment designed to introduce young people to flight instruction and aviation-related careers
