🏰⚗️ Week 2 of Medieval Kingdom STEM Camp was full of magical science and adventure! ⚗️🏰

Our young knights and inventors stepped into the Royal Apothecary to discover that what may seem like magic is really science in action!

🧪 Day 1: Campers watched exciting science demonstrations, including Elephant Toothpaste and the amazing transformation of a copper penny into a "gold" penny. Then, they became scientists by creating Cartesian Diver "Squiddies" and using a chemical reaction to inflate balloons on bottles. We wrapped up the day with a spirited game of Knights vs. Dragons Tag, where teamwork and quick thinking helped save the kingdom!

🧙 Day 2: It was time to mix up some royal creations! Campers made their own slime and playdough, exploring the science behind polymers while experimenting with colors, textures, and ingredients. The day also included plenty of teamwork during our Kingdom Crossing: Moat Challenge, where each kingdom worked together to safely cross the moat using stepping stones.

🥛 Day 3: Our royal chefs explored the science of food by making homemade butter and creating ice cream in a bag! Campers learned how mixing, motion, and temperature work together to transform simple ingredients into tasty treats—and best of all, they got to enjoy their homemade butter and ice cream! We wrapped up the week with an exciting Kingdom Treasure Hunt, racing to collect hidden gold coins before time ran out.

Another amazing week is in the books! From bubbling potions and squiddy divers to slime, playdough, butter, and homemade ice cream, our campers have been learning through hands-on STEM activities, teamwork, and plenty of medieval fun. We can't wait to finish our summer adventure with one more exciting week! 👑⚔️🔬

🏰⚔️ Week 1 of Medieval Kingdom STEM Camp was a royal success! ⚔️🏰

Our young knights and nobles had an exciting first week filled with creativity, engineering, teamwork, and fun!

👑 Day 1: Campers designed their own Coats of Arms, learned about medieval kingdoms, and became castle architects by building castles using geometric shapes.

🏇 Day 2: We put our engineering skills to the test by designing and building Jousting Cars. Campers battled their carts against one another, then redesigned and improved them to make them stronger, faster, and more successful in the arena. The jousting tournaments were a huge hit!

🌱 Day 3: Campers created their own Royal Herb Gardens and learned about plants and growing things. We also enjoyed a special visit from Animal Tales, where campers got to meet and learn about a variety of amazing reptiles up close.

🏃‍♀️ Throughout the week, we had a blast outside playing Capture the Crown, competing in Jousting Relays, and working together in kingdom teams.
✨ There's still time to join us for Week 2! We'll happily add a few new campers to a kingdom so they can jump right into the fun and finish out the adventure with us. Please email Mrs. Wright if you would like to join! We can't wait to see what exciting challenges await next week!
