Principal's Message
Welcome to Coulterville CUSD #1!
It is an honor to serve as the K–12 Principal of Coulterville CUSD #1 and to be part of a school community with such a strong sense of tradition, pride, and connection.
I believe that schools are at their best when students, families, staff, and the community work together toward a common goal: helping every child grow academically, socially, and personally. Our students come to us with different strengths, needs, interests, and dreams, and it is our responsibility to provide a safe and supportive environment where each of them has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
At Coulterville, we want our students to know that they are seen, they are valued, and they belong here.
Academic achievement is an important part of our mission, but education is about more than grades and test scores. We are also preparing young people to become responsible, respectful, resilient, and productive members of their communities. Throughout the year, we will intentionally focus on character, relationships, student responsibility, and creating a positive school culture where students are challenged to become the best versions of themselves.
I also believe strongly in being present and accessible. You will find me in classrooms, hallways, the cafeteria, at activities and athletic events, and wherever our students and staff are doing the work that makes Coulterville special. Some of the most important conversations in a school don't happen behind an office door.
Our teachers and staff work incredibly hard each day to meet the needs of our students, and I am grateful for their commitment. I am equally thankful for our families and community members who support our school in countless ways. That partnership matters.
As we move through the school year, I encourage our families to stay connected, ask questions, celebrate successes with us, and reach out when concerns arise. Open and respectful communication allows us to work together in the best interest of our students.
There is a great deal to be proud of at Coulterville, and I am excited about what we can continue to build together.
Every student. Every day. Every opportunity to grow.
Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being part of the Coulterville school community.
