Due:
Select one of the following topics to "master": biomass, coal, geothermal, hydropower (water), natural gas, petroleum, propane, solar, uranium (nuclear), wind, or hydrogen. There are 2 "Infobooks" below. They both cover similar information. The Elementary book is at an easier reading level and the Intermediate is a little more challenging but offers more detailed information. I would start with the intermediate and see how it goes. Each topic is covered on two pages in each Infobook.
You will create a Google Slide presentation or poster where you will inform others about your topic. (All projects are DUE Friday, May 8.)
You MUST include the following information within their presentation. Use the attached rubric for guidance.
- Definition or description of your energy resource

- How is the energy resource produced and how do we recover it?
- Explain ways we turn the energy resources into energy we can use.
- Explain who uses this energy resource and for what purposes
- Advantages of using this energy resource
- Disadvantages of using this energy resource
- Important random facts about the energy resource
- 3 questions to “quiz” your peers over the topic. Individuals should have learned the answers to these questions from your presentation or poster. Questions may be in the form of short answer, essay, true/false, or multiple choice.
- Information should be clearly written with appropriate fonts and graphics that should not distract from the information.
